Lebron James to the Lakers in 2010

"LeBron James to the Lakers" This is the most popular rumor in the Internet as of now after reported LeBron James's last comments on how money was not as important as winning.
For the past two years, the most covetted free agent of the 2010 year was believed to staying put or moving to a Madison Square Garden in New York City. However, in the last two seasons, the New York Nicks have managed to become one of the most dysfunctional organization in the NBA. First, the Nicks made the news with a scandalous trial between it's former GM Isiah Thomas vs a former female team executive, then this year, the Nicks have managed to become the new Clippers in the NBA. Perhaps all of this bad publicity has convinced LeBron to re-think his landing spot.

But how did the rumor of LeBron to the Lakers started?

On a sunny Sunday November 9th, LeBron James made a comment that stirred the media up. "Money is not as important as Wining" said LeBron James. This created a Media frenzy that began to make all kinds of different scenarios. And the scenario that made most sense was the Lakers.

How can this deal work?

Well, the Lakers are the most popular NBA team in the USA (if not the world). And LeBron is a business man and understand the importance of playing for a powerhouse that is well know world wide and is committed to winning?.
A prime example is Kobe Bryant in China. Besides being a GREAT player Kobe is the most popular NBA Basketball payer in in that Asian nation. And many believe that status has been helped by the popular name "Los Angeles Lakers".
Besides, LeBron also has other business going for him besides basketball. One of those is a book that is getting ready to release. Where else would it be a great market to shoot for the stars as a celebrity other than Los Angeles?.

How do you make this deal work if the Lakers are already in Luxury Tax Land?

LeBron will be a free agent next year. This means that he can walk to any team he wants and Cleveland will be left empty handed. The Cavaliers must act soon and make the idea that should take review all offers for a sign-and-trade for LeBron. And if the Lakers were to offer let's say a package that included a potential All-Star center Andrew Bynum, and the most versatile forward in the NBA in Lamar Odom, along a couple of other pieces such as Jordan Farmar this might be a package that Cleveland might come to accept. And there are other teams that might have more pieces than what the Lakers can offer. however, is up to LeBron to accept if he wants to move and play for those other teams.
LeBron, realized what is like to play along other superstars during the last Olympics in China, where the USA Basketball team was able to overcome an enduring push the Spaniards in the Basketball finals. And it was not anyone other than Kobe Bryant making the "key" plays during the finals that allowed the Americans too come out with the wins.

Potential Laker Team

LeBron can begin to imagine the following line up. Gasol, Artest, Lebron, Kobe, and Fisher. This is a Killer line up that would eventually go out to win over 70 games in a regular season and perhaps cement the Lakers legacy for the next 6 years.
